The PHILIPS Standard Premium C5W car bulb is a 12 V festoon lamp rated at 5 W with a 45 lm light output. Each pack holds 2 bulbs, enough to replace both sides of a symmetrical fitting in one go. Typical uses include licence-plate, boot, door and glovebox lighting.
SV8.5 base fits standard festoon holders
The bulb has metal end caps and clips between the two spring contacts of the fitting. The C5W format (11 x 36 mm) is factory standard on most European cars, so fitting needs no adapters or trim removal.
875-hour life and ECE homologation
Philips rates the lamp at up to 875 hours of service life. It carries ECE homologation, which makes it road-legal in Europe, including for licence-plate illumination.
Two bulbs per pack for symmetrical replacement
Replacing both plate lights at once keeps brightness and colour identical on either side. Any spare bulb stores easily in the glovebox for the next service.
