The Makita DTW1002Z 18V cordless impact wrench is a professional tool for loosening and tightening large bolts and nuts with a 1/2'' square drive. Its brushless motor delivers up to 1000 Nm of maximum fastening torque, while three impact settings let you match the power to the job. Supplied as a bare tool (no battery or charger), it runs on every battery in the Makita LXT 18V system.
1000 Nm torque for heavy-duty fastenings
The Makita DTW1002Z tightens standard bolts up to M30 and high-tensile bolts up to M24, making it ideal for auto workshops, steel construction and heavy machinery. The high torque also cracks seized nuts that a hand wrench simply cannot move.
Brushless motor for longer life
The tool's brushless motor runs without carbon brushes, cutting friction and heat build-up while extending service life. The result is higher efficiency and more fastenings completed per battery charge.
Three impact settings for precise control
Electronic three-speed selection (0–1800 / 2000 / 2200 impacts per minute) lets you dial in the power to suit the material and bolt at the push of a button. The lower setting helps prevent over-tightening on more delicate joints.
Compatible with the full Makita LXT 18V system
The Makita DTW1002Z ships as a bare tool and is powered by any Makita LXT 18V battery (from 1.5 Ah to 6.0 Ah and larger). If you already own tools from the range, you can use your existing batteries at no extra cost.
Twin LED job light for dark spaces
Built-in LED lights illuminate the work area and keep glowing briefly after you release the trigger. This makes work easier under vehicles, in pits and on poorly lit assembly sites.
