EVPoint EV7-CTLM Single-Phase CT Clamp Consumption Sensor
Keeps the main breaker on while the EV charges alongside every other appliance in the house.
The EVPoint EV7-CTLM is a single-phase CT clamp sensor that measures the real-time load of the whole installation and feeds it to the charging station. It mounts in the main distribution panel after the meter and links to the station by cable. The clamp snaps around the phase conductor, so no wiring has to be cut.
Dynamic charging power control
The current rating of the main breaker is entered in the station's settings. When charging plus household loads approach that threshold, the station trims charging power by exactly the amount needed to stay within the limit.
Clip-on installation on the live conductor
The transformer opens like a clip and locks onto the conductor inside the main distribution panel. A four-core cable runs to the charging point; an FTP cable also works, with its remaining four cores serving the Dynamic Load Management function or the Ethernet link.
Works with EVPoint EV7 and EV22 stations
The manufacturer lists the EVPoint EV7 and EV22 charging stations as compatible. The sensor is designed, developed and assembled in Europe.
