The DeWALT DCG409VSNT-XJ is a brushless 18V XR angle grinder for 125 mm discs, built for professional cutting and grinding. It ships as a bare tool in a TSTAK case and runs on DeWALT 18V XR as well as 54V XR FLEXVOLT batteries.

Variable speed dial for every material

Pre-set the speed anywhere between 3,000 and 9,000 rpm. Lower settings protect heat-sensitive materials, while full speed gets through metal faster. An electronic soft start keeps start-up smooth and controlled.

Kickback Brake and E-CLUTCH for bind-ups

Part of DeWALT's Perform & Protect range, the grinder pairs an integrated Kickback Brake with the Anti-Rotation E-CLUTCH system to cut the risk of kickback when the disc binds. An electronic brake also brings the disc to a quick stop once you switch off.

FLEXVOLT Advantage: extra power on 54V packs

Onboard electronics detect which battery is fitted. With a 54V XR FLEXVOLT pack the grinder delivers more power and torque, while standard 18V XR packs run it in normal mode. The brushless motor also stretches runtime per charge.

1.8 kg body with rubber-overmoulded handles

Rubber-overmoulded rear and side handles give a secure grip, and mesh dust guards keep debris out of the motor. The side handle fits in two positions and the guard adjusts without tools.
