The Riken Snow 205/60 R16 is a passenger-car winter tyre carrying both M+S and the 3PMSF mountain-snowflake marking, certified for proven performance on snow. Its reinforced XL build brings a load index of 96, while the H speed rating covers driving at up to 210 km/h.
V-shaped tread for grip in snow and slush
Numerous tread blocks and a high density of sipes create plenty of biting edges that grip packed snow. The compound stays soft even in very cold temperatures, so the tyre keeps its flexibility on frosty mornings.
Resistance to aquaplaning and slushplaning
The number and density of grooves are tuned to clear water and slush from the contact patch. Transverse grooves set at a special angle speed their evacuation towards the shoulders. On the EU label, wet grip is rated class C.
Silica compound for lower rolling resistance
A new silica compound cuts rolling resistance to help keep fuel consumption in check. External rolling noise is 72 dB, class B on the EU label.
