CERESIT CL 51 is a flexible one-component waterproofing membrane that forms a watertight layer under tiles in bathrooms, around bathtubs and shower enclosures, and in toilets and kitchens. It comes ready to use in a 5 kg bucket, with no water mixing required. It is also suitable for use over underfloor heating.

Watertight protection under tiles in wet rooms

CERESIT CL 51 seals floors and walls beneath ceramic coverings and stops moisture from reaching the substrate. It is used in home bathrooms, around bathtubs and shower enclosures, and in toilets and kitchens. This keeps tiles and screed protected from leaks over the long term.

One-component and ready to apply

CERESIT CL 51 is a one-component paste applied straight from the bucket, undiluted — no water mixing and no combining of components. It goes on easily with a brush, roller or trowel. This saves time and reduces the risk of preparation errors.

Fast drying — tiles after about 4 hours

CERESIT CL 51 is applied in two coats, with the second coat added after about 2 hours. Around 4 hours after application the surface is ready for tiling. The fast drying speeds up the whole bathroom project.

Flexible layer over underfloor heating

CERESIT CL 51 stays flexible and copes with thermal movement, which makes it suitable for use over screeds with underfloor heating. It is applied to sound, clean and even substrates prepared for ceramics. For extra security, corners and joints are reinforced with CERESIT CL 152 sealing tape.
