One product for both bonding and basecoating insulation boards — no sagging and a long open time.
ISOMAT AK-T35 in white is a fibre-reinforced, polymer-cement adhesive and basecoat for thermal insulation boards, supplied in a 25 kg bag. It does double duty: bonding the boards to the façade and, reinforced with a glass-fibre mesh, forming the basecoat that prepares the surface for the final render. It suits EPS and XPS polystyrene, mineral wool and polyurethane boards on concrete, masonry and rendered substrates.
Bonding and basecoating in one product
ISOMAT AK-T35 bonds the insulation boards to the façade and, reinforced with glass-fibre mesh, is applied over them as a basecoat. You build the whole external insulation system with a single mix and get a solid base for the render layers that follow.
No sagging and an extended open time
Once mixed, the adhesive does not slump on vertical walls, making it easy to position boards accurately. The extended open time gives you more room to adjust before the mix begins to set.
Fibres for a strong, flexible layer
The added fibres give the ISOMAT AK-T35 layer flexibility and moisture resistance, with high early and final adhesion. The result is a durable bond that copes with the thermal movement of a façade.
Application from +5°C to +35°C
ISOMAT AK-T35 is applied between +5°C and +35°C, covering most of the building season. The mixed material stays workable for at least 6 hours, so a batch remains usable throughout the working day.
