Ready-to-use liquid bitumen membrane that forms a seamless waterproof layer over your roof.

Sika Sikalastic-685 is a one-component, water-based liquid bitumen roof waterproofing membrane in grey. Applied by brush, roller or airless spray, it cures into a seamless, fully bonded coating. It suits flat and pitched roofs, balconies, terraces, gutters and parapet walls.

Seamless, fully bonded membrane

Sikalastic-685 is applied as a liquid and cures into one continuous coating with no seams or overlaps. Full adhesion to the substrate blocks water from tracking underneath the membrane, a common leak path with sheet systems.

UV resistance for long-lasting outdoor protection

The Sikalastic-685 membrane resists UV rays and shows no change after 3000 hours of artificial ageing. This lets it be applied on exposed roofs without an extra protective topcoat.

Elasticity that bridges cracks

Sikalastic-685 is an elastomeric membrane with over 140 % elongation at break. It bridges cracks wider than 3.5 mm at +20 °C and stays flexible down to -5 °C, following substrate movement without tearing.

Many applications and substrates with one membrane

Sikalastic-685 waterproofs flat and pitched roofs, balconies, terraces, gutters, channels, tanks and parapet walls. It bonds to concrete, cement screeds, brick, metal, wood and ceramic tiles, making it handy for both repairs and new roofs.

Ready to use and easy to apply

Sikalastic-685 is one-component and needs no mixing — open the bucket and start working. Apply it by brush, velour roller, trowel or airless spray, with the second coat going on after about 24 hours at +20 °C.
