1/4" hex chuck for instant bit changes
The 1/4" (6.35 mm) hex quick-change chuck lets you swap bits or drill tips with a single pull, no unscrewing needed. It is ideal for assembly work where you constantly alternate between driving and drilling.
Two speeds for drilling and precise fastening
The two-speed transmission of the DDF083Z offers a high gear for fast drilling and a low gear for controlled, high-torque fastening. With 20 clutch settings you dial in the exact power the material needs.
LED light and electronic brake for precision
The built-in LED light of the Makita DDF083Z illuminates the work point in dark corners, cabinets and tight spaces. The electronic brake stops the spindle instantly when you release the trigger, for clean and accurate fastening.
Compatible with all 18V LXT batteries
The driver drill runs on batteries from the Makita 18V LXT system, from 1.5 Ah up to 6.0 Ah and beyond. It comes without battery or charger, so you reuse the LXT packs you already own from other tools.
