The Makita DMC300Z is an 18V cordless compact cut-off tool with a 76 mm wheel for precise cutting of metal, pipes, profiles and other materials. It runs on the Makita LXT battery platform and ships as a bare tool — without battery or charger — so you can use the packs you already own. The brushless motor spins up to 20,000 rpm and is easy to control with one hand in tight, hard-to-reach spots.
Brushless motor at 20,000 rpm
The brushless motor of the Makita DMC300Z reaches 20,000 rpm for fast, clean cuts. Less friction means a longer tool life and more cutting per charge. Constant-speed control keeps the wheel spinning steadily even under load.
Compact and light for one-handed work
The compact body and low weight of the DMC300Z allow secure one-handed control. Its 76 mm wheel reaches where a full-size angle grinder cannot — around pipes, profiles and tight installation spots. It stays comfortable during longer jobs.
Electric brake and AFT for safety
The electric brake on the Makita DMC300Z stops the wheel quickly once you release the trigger. Active Feedback sensing Technology (AFT) detects binding and cuts the motor automatically when there is a risk. A built-in LED light illuminates the cutting line.
Part of the Makita LXT 18V system
The DMC300Z is compatible with all Makita LXT 18V Li-Ion batteries (from 1.5 Ah to 12 Ah). Bought as a bare tool without battery or charger, it runs on the LXT packs you already have. A dust-collecting cover helps keep debris down while cutting.
